This qualification reflects the role of commercial cooks who have a supervisory or team leading role in the kitchen. They operate independently or with limited guidance from others and use discretion to solve non-routine problems.

Delivery Mode
  • Face-to-face 13.5 hrs (blended delivery mode combined with classroom and practical training in a commercial kitchen setting) + 6.5 hrs online Activities (per week) + 192 hrs work placement in total.

Students who completed this course may be able to seek employment in restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops or to run a small business in these sectors. Possible job titles may include:
